The Leukemia & Lymphoma Names Cheryl Ecton as Light the Night Corporate Walk Chair

Wilmington, DE – June 4, 2019 – The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Delaware chapter is proud to announce that Cheryl Ecton, CEO of Elite Building Services, has accepted the role as the 2019 Light the Night Corporate Walk Chair. In this role, Ms. Ecton will work with the local Chapter volunteers and staff as a business partner and help with the cultivation of new relationships with other businesses across the state. “Cancer will not be cured by chance, it will be cured by change. Join me to become a part of this change,” Ms. Ecton said.

In addition, Elite Building Services will have a fundraising team and Ms. Ecton will participate in the Executive Challenge, a six-week fundraising competition amongst local c-suite level executives.

The Light The Night events will take place on Saturday, September 14th at Bicentennial Park in Milford and Saturday, October 5th at Nemours/A.I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington. Both events are free and will feature live music, food trucks and a mile walk to honor those touched by blood cancers.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is the world’s largest voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer. The LLS mission: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. LLS funds lifesaving blood cancer research around the world and provides free information and support services.
